Nice to meet you.

I’m a NYC-based Product Designer — though, thanks to the pandemic, well-versed in remote work, too. I am passionate about problem-solving and energized by new challenges. I’ve found that Product Design perfectly blends my creativity with my analytical skills and love of data. Some things I get excited about include:

When I’m not heads down in work, I love to spend time outside with my pup exploring new places, on the soccer field, or doodling away, making pun-related “art.”

How I wound up in UX & Product Design…

From my earliest days in hospitality, empathy and customer experience have been foundational to every role in my career. Holding a few client-facing roles immediately out of school, I found I also really loved processes and developing systems that, well, make things work!

I began leading customer service teams, eventually expanding into general operations, strategy, and planning. In those roles, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with some wonderful Product & Engineering teams, and I realized I was most energized when I was collaborating with those folks — creating anything from small feature iterations to inaugural mobile apps.

Ultimately I no longer wanted to be the primary stakeholder of PMs & Designers — I wanted to get my hands in and be part of building solutions! And, my previous experience — empathetic, user-centered problem solving — had perfectly prepared me to transition into UX Design.

How I Work

Whether trying to upsell a client on meals, or trying to win leadership approval of a particular project, data has always been critical to my approach and what wins the day. It is the empirical evidence that supports the story — communicates the need, the urgency — whatever the situation may be. And this is absolutely the case in my approach to design, too!

My process starts with collecting data, which usually involves conducting research. Then begins initial designs, testing, iteration — rinse & repeat!

While always tailoring to the specific needs of any particular project, a generalized look at how my process works:

In my approach to work broadly, some of my identifying traits & strengths include:

What I’m Working on Now

I am thrilled to be joining New Visions for Public Schools full time working on their portal, supporting NYC students’ outcomes.
